Dr. Ellie Dowden
People often ask me, “Why dentistry?” Like most things in life, my decision to attend dental school was a result of chance, opportunity and hard-work. At an early age, I became interested in a career in healthcare and envisioned a life where I could use my skills and talents to help others. After hours of job shadow during high school, dentistry felt like a calling. I fell in love with the idea of establishing true relationships and friendships with my patients, while being able to use my hands in an artistic and creative way. Influenced by my childhood dentist, I went full-speed ahead to pursue dentistry and am so glad I did.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2014. Since graduation, I have completed numerous hours of continuing education to advance my education and am pursuing my fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. I am a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA), and Academy of General Dentistry.
What I really want you to know about me is that I love dentistry and I love people. I am passionate about achieving optimal oral and overall health and am committed to helping you do the same. I consider it a privilege and honor to work with people to help educate and motivate them to achieve their goals.
In my personal life, I have an amazing husband and three awesome kids. I love being a mom as well as reading and staying active by riding my Peloton, walking and doing yoga.
As you can probably tell from this bio, I love to chat. I promise to take the time to answer your questions and make you feel at ease. I enjoy being a part of the West Bend community and look forward to getting to know each and every one of you!
Dr. Alex Peroutky
The decision to make dentistry my lifelong passion originated in my later teen years. As a youth I was still figuring things out, but knew a career in healthcare was my path to helping people. I shadowed professionals in numerous fields of healthcare, and nothing was quite the right “fit.” That is, until I stumbled on the chance to shadow my own hometown dentist. That was the day it became clear that dentistry was my calling. I was inspired with the unique opportunities dentists have to establish meaningful, fulfilling patient relationships. After all, most people only have one dentist that they get to know over many years of care. But most of all, I relished the chance to have a direct impact on someone’s health (and life) by using my knowledge and acquired skills in a challenging field. Since that fateful day, I dedicated myself to dentistry and have never looked back.
I graduated cum laude from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2019. Since graduating, I have completed over 500 hours of continuing education in comprehensive dentistry, with a special emphasis on endodontics (a specialty in dentistry focused on dental pulp) and dental implants. I am a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA), and Academy of General Dentistry.
Many people are nervous about trips to the dentist, but I make it my goal to help educate my patients while caring for them. I understand that coming to the dental office can be a big deal for people. My team and I strive for providing the best comprehensive care tailored for your unique needs, all while making you feel as comfortable as possible.
In my personal life, I love living an active and healthy lifestyle. I enjoy hitting the gym, playing tennis, golf, and basketball. You’ll frequently find me cheering on Wisconsin sports, trying out new dinner recipes, or planning a new travel destination. When I need a break from my active lifestyle, there’s nothing quite as relaxing as reading a good book with my old dog Gilbert.
I’m thrilled to be a part of this community and vow to be attentive to all your questions and concerns. I look forward to taking the time in getting to know you and work towards achieving your goals in your oral health.
Dr. Nidhi Mahajan
My name is Nidhi Mahajan and I am an associate dentist here at Cornerstone Dental. Being a dentist is an integral part of my identity and combines two of my passions, art and service, as I aim to educate the public about oral health and help patients feel more confident about their smile.
I earned my DMD degree from UIC College of Dentistry where I graduated at the top of my class, demonstrating my passion for this profession and commitment to serving my community. Additionally, in an effort to stay up to date in this rapidly evolving field, I continue to expand my knowledge with continuing education courses and seminars further enhancing my skills and your patient experience.
Although on paper my role may strictly be listed as general dentist, I hope to be much more than that. I am not only a friend to all of my coworkers, but aim to treat each of my patients like family and, although I know nobody likes the dental chair, hopefully it keeps you coming back! I always commit to being efficient in my methods which means not requiring any unnecessary procedures, making sure everything I do is done with concentration and precision and always thinking about patient comfort and benefit. I aim to make you feel at-ease and promise to take care of your oral health in the best, most effective manner possible.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, dancing, cooking and traveling so if you know of any good recipes to try or places to visit definitely let me know!
